SOME COMMON QUESTIONS
If your question isn't answered below, please feel free to get in touch.
Reflexology is a holistic healing practice that targets specific pressure points on the feet, hands, and ears to stimulate the body's natural healing processes and promote overall well-being.
This means that I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists and am fully qualified, insured and regularly partake in CPD (Continuous Professional Development) to keep my knowledge fresh and up to date.
While reflexology does involve gentle pressure and manipulation of the feet, hands, and ears, it is distinct from traditional massage therapy in its specific techniques and goals.
Reflexology encourages deep relaxation and helps to rebalance the body systems such as digestive issues, menstrual cramps, and migraines, aiding the body to begin to heal.
Results can vary depending on individual circumstances, but many people report feeling relaxed and refreshed after a single session, with longer-term benefits developing over time with regular sessions.
It's best to wear loose, comfortable clothing and remove your shoes to access the pressure points on your feet.
Most people find reflexology to be a relaxing and comfortable experience, but some areas may feel sensitive or tender at first. I will work with you to ensure you're comfortable throughout the treatment.
Yes, reflexology can be adapted for everyone such as children and elderly, with gentle, specialised techniques.
